Ron Jenkins

During his formative years, Ron Jenkins worked for Blackett Oil Company of Midvale, UT. This position provided him with his first insight into the fuel and service station industry.

1965

Blackett Oil / Sheriff's Department

Beginning in 1965, Ron began splitting his time between Blackett Oil and the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Department. his most fulfilling work came from his time spent in the undercover narcotics division. Ron served in the department during the arrest of Ted Bundy in 1975 and is featured in the infamous police lineup photograph.

Jenkins Oil Company

The fuel industry came calling when, in 1976, Ron purchased the Texaco distributorship in Cedar City, UT. Taking a year’s leave of absence from the Sheriff’s Office, he moved to Cedar City to begin this new endeavor.

Santa Clara Expansion

In 1988, Jenkins Oil Company purchased the business and assets of Santa Clara,UT based Cooper Oil Company. the acquisition included the Santa Clara, UT and Orderville, UT bulk plant facilities. As a result of the acquisition, Jenkins Oil Company gained access to becoming a Chevron and Shell accredited wholesaler. These brands were added to Jenkins Oil Company’s Texaco and Sinclair family of brands.

2007

Jenkins Oil Company

Ron Jenkins tragically passed away in april of 2007 leaving his children; Eric, Andrea and Ashley to oversee management and operations of the company. He devoted 49 years to his business community and the petroleum industry.

2011

Santa Clara Expansion

In 2011, the Jenkins Oil Company management team developed the RallyStop brand for its company-operated chain of convenience stores. It consolidated the various convenience stores under one, recognizable brand. The RallyStop business segment continues to be the primary driving source of Jenkins Oil’s business strategy.
